Description:

A Document of How Bob Dylan Became Bob Dylan with Rare Sound Recordings Bob Dylan: The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963 (2CD) The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963" (2CD) is the 18th collection of Bob Dylan's bootleg series. This is a documentary of how Bob Dylan became Bob Dylan with rare sound recordings. It is the story of the beginnings of a boy with no name, Robert, from the private recordings he made in his hometown of Minnesota in 1956 to Carnegie Hall in 1963. It is also a documentary that tells the story of how a boy who was obsessed with rock and roll eventually came to know Woody Guthrie, broadened his musical expression and creativity, and became Bob Dylan. This 18th volume in the bootleg series, which chronologically follows Dylan from before his debut to before and after the release of his third album, "The Times They Are a-Changin'," is mastered from all new tapes and includes rare and previously unreleased home recordings, studio outtakes, and live recordings at coffeehouses and nightclubs, with the highlight of the collection being a complete, previously unreleased recording of Dylan at Carnegie Hall on October 26, 1963. The highlight is a previously unreleased complete recording of Dylan's turning point performance at Carnegie Hall on October 26, 1963, mixed from the original tapes. This is a 2-CD set of highlights from the deluxe edition. (1/2)
