To celebrate the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's first hit, "Spice Oddity," a series of 50th anniversary projects is currently underway, including the 4-CD 7" singles box set "Spying Through a Keyhole" released in April, the 3-CD 7" singles box set "Clairville Grove Demo," and the LP "Mercury Demo" featuring previously unreleased material. Following the April release of the 4-CD 7" single box set "Spying Through A Keyhole", the 3-CD 7" single box set "Clairville Grove Demo", and the LP "Mercury Demo" featuring previously unreleased material, a 2-CD 7" single box set featuring the latest mix by Tony Visconti of "Spice Odity" will be released. This 50th Anniversary 2-CD 7-inch single set, "Spice Oddity: 50th Anniversary 2-CD 7-inch Single Set," is now available for purchase! The release date for this 50th Anniversary 2-CD 7-inch single set is July 12, 2019. This date is exactly 50 years to the day after July 11, 1969, which is also the release date of the original "Space Oddity" single.This 50th Anniversary 2-CD 7" single set includes two 7" singles in a box, a double-sided poster featuring the original "Spice Oddity" advertisement and a Ray Stevenson photo of Bowie at the Palladium in London on November 30, 1969, as well as an information card and a photo session for the "Spice Oddity" promo single. The set also includes a double-sided poster featuring a photo of Bowie at "Save Rave '69" at the Palladium in London on November 30, 1969, taken by Ray Stevenson, an information card, and a print of another take from the photo session for the "Spice Oddity" promo single.
