2017 marks the 10-year anniversary of the death of Luciano Pavarotti, one of the three great tenors. This 3-CD boxed set includes three of Pavarotti's best-known albums released on Sony Classical and RCA, allowing listeners to enjoy his voice at its peak. [CD1] is an interesting recording of Pavarotti singing arias from Verdi's rarely performed operas, originally released by Phonit Chetra on CBS Sony in Japan. Supported by Abbado & Teatro alla Scala Milano in their heyday, the singing is excellent. Since there are few authorized recordings of Pavarotti and Abbado painting together, this album is valuable in that sense. [CD2] is a live recording of a concert in Modena, Emilia-Romagna, in 1985.The audience was very cheering and praising Pavarotti, not to mention his superhuman singing, which gave the performance a very realistic feel. From "Nobody Sleeps" to "O sole mio," his 18th favorite, there is plenty to choose from. [CD3] is "Christmas in Vienna," held every December in Vienna with Domingo as host. From this series, which attracted a lot of attention with its splendid guests, this is a recording of the 1999 live performance, which featured all three major tenors. Sony Music
