The first of three recordings of Mozart's "Da Ponte Opera Trilogy" by conductor Theodor Kurrenzis, born in Athens in 1972, and his ensemble Musica Eterna, was The Marriage of Figaro. The first of the "Da Ponte Opera Trilogy" recordings was "The Marriage of Figaro. This recording is a monumental launch of a major recording project by Kulenzis and Musica Eterna, who have signed a long-term exclusive contract with Sony Classical. Kulenzis and Musika Eterna are the musical director and seated orchestra of the Perm State Opera House in Perm, located at the foot of the Urals in Russia (also Diaghilev's birthplace), and despite its remote location 1,400 km from Moscow, its musical richness is as good as Despite its remote location 1,400 kilometers from Moscow, the Perm State Opera has earned a reputation for musical excellence that is as good as that of the best opera houses in Europe.There are many performances with original instruments in the world today, but this work by Kulenzis is different from the ordinary performances.
