A complete collection of Peterson's vocal songs recorded up to 1964A disc of intoxicating velvet vocals reminiscent of Nat King Cole. This definitive edition includes the entire vocal album "Romance," four songs from "Soft Sands" accompanied by strings, and all vocal songs released as singles. Peterson was originally a big fan of Frank Sinatra. Unsurprisingly, he also recorded several albums showcasing his own singing voice as a professional singer. His singing voice is just like that Nat King Cole! Like many other jazz pianists of the era, Peterson loved a good melody and enjoyed playing and singing exquisite arrangements. This release contains all of Oscar Peterson's early vocal recordings (all existing vocals up to the 1965 Nat King Cole tribute).
