Description:

The two CD set released under the title Equinox - The Complete Odyssey, a 24 time-zone "musical journey" by the multi-talented Henning Klaggereud, is a production of the previously released Equinox - The Complete Odyssey (PSC 1348), narrated as originally conceived. The two CD set, titled Equinox - The Complete Odyssey, is an album of 24 Postludes in All Keys for Violin and Chamber Orchestra (PSC 1348), narrated and produced according to the original conception. Composer Henning Kraggerud's "The Equinox" is the result of a collaboration with Norwegian author Jostein Gaarder (1952-), best known for his "Sophie's World. Based on Gaarder's "Kabalmystriet/The Solitaire Mystery," the work is a "musical journey" through 24 time zones, from Greenwich Park in London to the horns of Ysfjordur in Iceland. The piece is a "musical journey" through 24 time zones, from "afternoon" to "morning". It consists of four "concertos" in six movements, each titled for a different "hour" of the day, from "afternoon" to "morning," and an "overture" to the "finale. The idea of composing with "whole-tone" music is said to have been inspired by Canadian musicologist Rita Steblin's (1951-2019) A History of Key Characteristics in the Eighteenth and Early Nineteenth Centuries ( A History of Key Characteristics in the Eighteenth and Early Nineteenth Centuries" by Rita Steblin (1951-2019). Simon Callow (1949-), a British actor known for films such as "Amadeus," "A Room with a View," and "Shakespeare in Love," narrates the music before each movement. The full text of "Equinox 24 keys to a world before it slips away" (Equinox - 24 tones to a world before it slips away), which is read in English, is included in the booklet. The music portion is the same as the previous album, recorded in a session at a church in Tromsø in 2014. King International
