Brooklyn-based vintage soul SSW KENDRA MORRIS' debut album is finally being reissued on COLOR VINYL, 12 years after its vinyl release in 2012! Originally released on WAX POETICS, her much talked about first album was influenced by the psychedelic R&B, soul, and funk of the late 60's and early 70's. In collaboration with producer/guitarist Jeremy Page, she has created an album with a rock and pop flavor. and other influences. The vintage soul sound, with hip-hop beats woven throughout the rich tapestry of sound, does not fade away, but rather shines even brighter even after listening to it now. This is an album that should be listened to not only by past fans but also by future generations.
