This legendary band, which maintained artistic consistency throughout its career while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the most dynamic artists of its time with every release, has had three albums released by Beggars Banquet: *Liberty Belle and the Black Diamond Express* (1986), *Tallulah* (1987), and *16 Lovers Lane* (1988)—have been remastered and are set for a long-awaited reissue on CD and LP! Furthermore, the live recording *Fountains of Youth (Live at the Town and Country Club)—previously available only as part of a box set—is also set for its long-awaited debut release! *Fountains of Youth (Live at the Town and Country Club)* (2020) This album features a spectacular live set recorded in May 1987, just before the release of *Tallulah*. The UK magazine *Uncut* praised it, stating, “It vividly demonstrates the band’s growing confidence and their constantly refined songwriting.” Robert Forster said, “This show is probably the only performance in The Go-Betweens’ career that was recorded on a large 2-inch, 24-track analog tape. The fact that we were recording had a huge impact on how we approached the performance. What you hear isn’t a typical Go-Betweens show. This was a one-time-only event... and that’s reflected in the set list. With the opportunity to record four sides of a record, we took a more adventurous approach to the set. What’s captured here is both a one-time-only recording and a one-time-only show. The greatest moments were born from our ambitious spirit,” he said.
