KONO Y LOS CHICOS DE CUBA, a band led by percussionist Haruhiko Kono, has teamed up with young top Cuban musicians to release a Cuban salsa cover of "Tokyo wa yoru no 7 o'clock," a synonym for Shibuya-style music, as a 7-inch single in 2021. Like the CD, both Spanish and Japanese versions of the song are included, with art direction and a short edit by Yasuhiro Konishi for the 7-inch release. Kono's goal is to build a new bridge between Japan and Cuba. It is 7:00 at night in Tokyo, 6:00 in the morning in Havana. (C)RS
