The latest recording by one of the world's top violinists, Midori Goto. Midori Goto, who continues to be active internationally based in the U.S., has completed her latest work, "Beethoven: Sonatas for Piano and Violin (10 pieces)," a collection of Beethoven's 10 sonatas, masterpieces that rank at the top of violin music, following "Beethoven: Violin Concerto, Romance (2 pieces)" (WPCS-13834), which was released in 2020. The Beethoven Sonatas for Piano and Violin (10 Sonatas) will be released on SACD hybrid format in Japan only in time for the upcoming Beethoven concert in Japan in November. The 10 sonatas composed in Beethoven's early and middle periods trace the historical transition of the expressive positions and balance between violin and piano, and therefore the combination of violinist and partner pianist is considered important. The recording of this concert with Thibaudet, who has performed with the violinist on many occasions, is the culmination of a perfectly coordinated ensemble. (C)RS
