The album opens with a swingy, upbeat first track, a chance encounter between the Motown sound and the songs of N.Y. musical giants Rodgers and Hart, which revealed the new charm of the Supremes. The euphoric numbers with traditional soul and pop tastes are flanked by jazzy cover tunes, and the way they cook standard numbers such as M-7 and M-12, and the baccarat feel of M-2, make this disc a gorgeous and loungey experience with no discards, This is a wonderful gem that should be talked about in the Sabbabia-related and jazz fields as well. Bonus tracks include all the songs from the 1965 project (Thing Series).
