Toscanini died in his sleep, and the "Memorial Concert" was held at Carnegie Hall on February 3. On February 3, the legendary concert was held at Carnegie Hall, where the three great masters (Walter, Munsch, and Montoux in order of appearance), all of whom had close ties to Toscanini, performed Toscanini's 18th Symphony No. 1.
