Description:

This is the third album from Ninja Tune's Ipa, who gained a wide and enthusiastic following with their debut album "You Are Beautiful At All Times," a blend of epic electronica and shoegaze guitar sounds spiced up with pleasant breakbeats. The album was greatly influenced by Ipa's relocation from his native Texas to Long Beach, California, during the making of the demo, where his hobby of surfing led him to the ocean and beaches he saw there. The ocean and beaches he saw there were the very image he had in mind for his new music. I wanted to create music that reminded me of warm waves," he says, "with warm, melodic synth layers that evoke the ebb and flow of waves in the vast ocean, dreamy, magical soundscapes that shimmer like refracting sunlight through water, and organic sounds created by live instruments. The organic sound creates a spectacular soundscape filled with a sense of euphoria comparable to that of Ulrich Schnauss.Of course, the dream-pop sound of My Bloody Valentine, which is synonymous with Ipa's shoegaze sound and groovy breakbeats, is still alive and well on this album. The album also features a song that evokes elements of psychedelic rock like Primal Scream's masterpiece "Screamadelica" and the first vocal song featuring Anomie Bell, a songstress who met on tour with Bonobo, and other new experiments, while also offering a beautiful, elegant, genre-transcending melancholic electronica. The result is a masterpiece of melancholic electronica that transcends genres with beauty and elegance. With its beautiful sound melodies and warm temperatures, "Eighty One" invites listeners to enter a fantasy world that is supremely comfortable. This album is recommended not only for Bose of Canada, Ulrich Schnauss, and Field lovers, but also for Japanese music listeners who listen to Serph, and post-rock lovers such as Deer Hunter and M83 lovers!
