Description:

Many of us run out of money at one time or another. This work is indeed a BEAR FAMILY compilation on the theme of "running out of money," which is not to be expected. The sad news of financial hardship was made into compelling songs by various artists from rock and roll, R&B, and country, inviting the sympathy of those who ran out of money in front of the radio around the world.... Both versions of Elvis Presley's 1956 revival hit of Clyde McPhatter & The Drifters' classic "Money Honey," the original "Money (That's What I Want)" by Barrett Strong and the '61 Miracles covers, blues legends Johnny Ace, Jimmy Witherspoon, and Slim Harpo bitterly lament the hard times, and country greats Stonewall Jackson, Al Terry, and Fallon Young also appear.Even the young Frankie Avalon, who introduced the world to "I'm Broke" early in his illustrious career, was a big fan of Carl Runner's "No Money," Glen Paul's "I'm Broke," Jesse Knight's "Nothing But Money," and the still teenage Billy "The Man" Arnold's 1953 debut "I Ain't Got No Money" and many others. The 30 songs are priceless, and include "I Ain't Got No Money," the debut album of Billy Boy Arnold in 1953, and many others.
