The hugely popular French band Tahiti 80 is about to release its 10th album, the memorable "Hello Hello!" Lead singer and composer Xavier Boyer says, "We were somewhat dissatisfied with our last album, Here With You (released in 2022), and the reason was that we had to record it separately at home due to the pandemic. This reaction motivated us to merge the spontaneity of the rehearsals with the chemistry of the studio sessions, and we were looking for the perfect place to capture that spirit.So, in the summer of 2023, the members spent 10 days in sessions at Paraphenalia Studios, located in the French countryside, and then the vocals and synths were finalized and completed in Paris, Rouen and Montpellier in the fall! The 12 songs that make up "Hello Hello" form a unified body of work that highlights the creativity, diversity, and maturity of Tahiti! The album's opener, "Every Little Thing," is a perfect blend of shoegaze and synths, and is one of the few Tahiti 80 songs to keep the same chords from start to finish! Other songs are influenced by Brazilian music, Tahitian royalty, and even a city pop sound! With its innovative and unique approach to indie pop, timeless melodies, and sophisticated production, Tahiti 80 continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
