[76:57] A collection of contemporary saxophone works by Allison Adams. Contemplation and Expression was commissioned by Allison Adams and composed in 2013. Keane Southerd studied at the Eastman School of Music, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and the Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music. The "Presented Work" is for unaccompanied tenor saxophone. It was composed for French saxophonist Claude Drangle. Philippe Hurel is a French composer. He is a member of the "spectral school" of contemporary French music, a group that creates music through acoustic analysis and synthesis. The Flame Grows Large" was composed to an English translation of the text of "The Fountain of Flames" by Rumi (1207-1273), the greatest mystic poet in the history of Persian literature. Diorio is an American composer and conductor. He is artistic director of the contemporary vocal ensemble NOTUS and the Mendelssohn Choir in Philadelphia. Moon Dew" is for unaccompanied alto saxophone. Molly Joyce is an American composer, performer, and recording artist who studied at The Juilliard School and The Hague Royal Conservatory. Dissuise, dissuise, dissuise" is for alto saxophone and prepared piano.Eric Ubbels is an American composer, pianist, and performer. Overcoming All Panic is a piece for tenor saxophone and piano composed for Allison Adams. Andrew Sigler has received numerous awards for his chamber ensemble, orchestra, dance, and theater music. He is an assistant professor at the University of Knoxville, Tennessee. Nose on Fire, originally a sonata for clarinet and piano, was re-envisioned for alto saxophone and piano at the request of Alison Adams. Wang Jie was born in Shanghai in 1980, and at the age of five was known as a piano prodigy. He received a scholarship from the Manhattan School of Music and moved to the United States in 2000. He studied composition with Nils Vigelin and Richard Danielbourg. (Tobu Shoji)
