The most noteworthy is the first performance of the Orchestre National de France. The most noteworthy is the first release of the Abbado & Argerich collaboration [CD6]. Argerich (born in 1941) won the first prize at the Chopin Competition in 1965 and attracted the world's attention as a genius. His recording of Prokofiev and Ravel with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1968, conducted by Abbado (b. 1933), who was also a young talent at the time, is a timeless masterpiece.This performance took place in 1969, and it is a performance of tremendous energy. Other star performers such as Celibidacke, Muti, Bernstein, and others are also included in this collection of first-time recordings. The quality of the archives of the Institut National de l'Audiovisuelle de France (INA), the French audiovisual archive for all radio and television broadcasts, has been widely recognized in recent years through releases by labels such as Altus, in addition to overseas sources. From the fine vibrato tone of the trumpets in the old days, to the bright sound of the wind instruments even today, to the beauty of the steady violins, this is a unique box that allows us to trace the changes in the performance of the best orchestra in France with these rare performances!
