Rick Wakeman, the "keyboard wizard" known for his work with Yes and the Strawbs, has released a 4-CD box set of his treasured concert recordings from the 1970s on the Purple Pyramid label. CD1 features the 1974 Canadian concert featuring Gary Pigford Hopkins, Ashley Holt, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the famous live album "Journey To The Centre Of The Earth". The concert was recorded in 1974 in Canada with the National Philharmonic Orchestra. CD2 is a recording from the North American tour following the release of "The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table" in 1975, recorded for the "King Biscuit Flower Hour" radio program in the U.S. The November performance at the Winterland Theater in San Francisco was recorded for broadcast on the "King Biscuit Flower Hour" radio program in the U.S. CD3 features the Hammersmith Odeon performance recorded for BBC broadcast in June 1976, which was also included as a bonus on the 2016 deluxe edition reissue of "No Earthly Connection", and CD4 features the Hammersmith Odeon performance from the post-"No Earthly Connection" tour, recorded for TV broadcast. CD4 includes the Farnham Maltings show from the tour after the release of "Journey to Mystery", recorded for TV broadcast in 1976. The clamshell-type box also includes a 16-page booklet with rare photos and liner notes.
