Alessandro Scarlatti, father of Domenico Scarlatti, known for his numerous keyboard works. He is considered the founder of the Neapolitan school of music and devoted himself to the development of vocal music in the early Baroque period. However, his works are rarely performed today, and in the case of this performance of "The Glory of Spring," it has been completely forgotten. This is the story of King Carl VI (1685-1740), who took the throne after the War of the Spanish Succession, and when he finally received his heir, a boy, John Leopold, he asked Scarlatti to compose a song for the celebration, and the four seasons, "Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter," which received the news of the birth of the heir in the Holy Roman Empire, Unfortunately, John Leopold died prematurely before his first birthday, and the work itself was sealed.
