Paul Cornish's debut piano trio release on the prestigious Blue Note label! When it comes to jazz, New York is the place to be. Many famous musicians gather here, but they come from various places. Houston is one of the cities that have produced many famous jazz musicians. A new talent from Houston makes his Blue Note debut. His debut album, "You're Exaggerating! It features a trio formation with Joshua Crumbley (b) and Jonathan Pinson (ds), with guest Jeff Parker (g) on one track. The first single to be distributed ahead of time, "Dinosaur Song" draws you in with its thrilling theme, "Palindrome" featuring Jeff Parker, "Queen," which was inspired by the beloved Jeri Allen's "Drummer's Song," and "Geri," which was inspired by Jeri Allen's "Drummer's Song," and "Queen Geri," and "Modus Operandi," which seems to be Jason Moran's bandwagon meets baroque.Produced by Los Angeles musician/producer Henry Solomon. He had detailed discussions with Paul himself, and the piano was recorded to highlight the dynamics and touch of the piano. Like Paul, many Houston musicians have released works on Blue Note, including Robert Glasper, Jason Moran, and James Francies. Of his debut, Paul said, "Robert Glasper's work on Blue Note, such as 'Canvas' and 'In My Element,' were the first glimpses of the Blue Note legacy that I'm just now becoming involved with. I think Jason Moran was the catalyst for that. Glasper added a whole other element to it, and James [Francies] took it further. With each one of us, it just keeps evolving and expanding. Seeing these people playing before me in Houston has motivated me to keep trying.
