In 2025, the year that marks the 70th anniversary of the release of "Chet Baker Sings," the masterpiece album left behind by this tragic hero, a compilation of his music "re:imagine" in a modern context will be released! This is the latest in a popular series of reinterpretations of classic jazz tunes by cutting-edge artists, including "Blue Note Re:imagined"! As the name suggests, this compilation is based on the concept of Chet Baker, and features a selection of his famous recordings from his lifetime, reinterpreted by cutting-edge artists. Previous releases, "Blue Note Re:imagined" and "Blue Note Re:imagined II," have included musicians from the UK jazz world, but this time, in addition to UK artists such as dodie, Eloise, and Matilda Mann, the album will also include Dutch artist This time, in addition to UK artists such as dodie, Eloise, and Matilda Mann, there are also artists from a wide range of regions, including Benny Sings from the Netherlands, Stacey Ryan from Canada, and Sarah Kang from South Korea. All are at the forefront of the scene, and Baker's sublime melodies are projected onto a contemporary sound canvas featuring a variety of acoustic and electronic colors, artistic and passionate improvisation, and richly layered production. Of "Old Devil Moon," the first of the preceding singles, dodie said, "We are so lucky to be able to live in the world of Chet's soft, playful voice on this wonderful collection. It's so much fun to fuse our styles and lean in a jazz-leaning direction. Chet Baker was my most listened to artist in 2023, so I was very excited when he asked me to pick a favorite.
