Artists from Oslo, New York, Basel, and Lugano are juxtaposed and recombined with Norwegian drummer Tomas Strenen in an absorbing recording featuring solos and duets recorded between 2018 and 2022. With partners such as Craig Tayborne, Chris Potter, Sinikka Langeland, and Jorge Rossy, the musical frame of reference is very broad. From Langerand's archaic-sounding folk to Potter's post-Coltrane saxophone and Tayborne's whirlwind modernist piano, each element finds a place in the project that suggests a new thread of connection, a new creative relationship.
