The first limited edition analog release of an album of Jazz standard covers and original compositions by Terry Riley, known for such masterpieces as A Rainbow in Curved Air and in C. The LP includes a BONUS 7-inch EP not for sale! The LP includes a not-for-sale BONUS 7-inch EP! The album was recorded in Kobuchizawa, Yamanashi prefecture, Japan in early spring of 2020, before he decided to move to Japan, and released on CD in October 2023. This special 2-CD set includes an LP (8 tracks) and a not-for-sale BONUS 7-inch (2 tracks). This album is a collection of works that vividly records his essence as an "improviser". He became familiar with Jazz standards during his youthful days in Paris, which led him to this cover work.In addition to cover songs with a fluid piano touch, "Pasha Rag" explodes with passion. (Currently, there is no plan to distribute the sound source.) In October 2023, the group performed at the opening of the Saitama International Arts Festival 2023. In November, he performed at Kioi-Hall in Kioi-cho, Tokyo, as part of the "AMBIENT KYOTO" event with Cornelius and others, performing a 2-day live 3D acoustic concert on the Noh stage, which is usually closed to the public. He performed with Joe Hisaishi at Kioi Hall in Tokyo in November as a special guest for the 10th anniversary of MUSIC FUTURE, his life's work as a contemporary music composer, and has been making energetic live appearances. This is a limited vinyl release of the legendary artist who has been making energetic live appearances that are hard to believe at his 88 years of age! ＜Terry Riley, composer and musician, was born in California on June 24, 1935, and is 88 years old. His innovative musical activities since the 1960s have transcended genres and continue to be a cornerstone of the international music scene.
