Fazil Say's new work, "Troy Sonata," which took more than six months to compose, is an epic work consisting of ten sections and a performance time of more than 40 minutes. The dramatic elements of the Trojan legend are expressed by making the most of the superb technical skills of Sai and the instrumental characteristics of the modern piano. Other works include "The Moving Mansion," based on four anecdotes about Ataturk, the founder of Turkey; "The Blonde Girl," based on a well-known folk song from Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran; and "Old Istanbul," using the "Hijaz Makam," a melody from Turkish classical music.
