The 12th album from one-and-only rapper/musician/actor/activist Common, winner of four major U.S. entertainment awards (Grammy, Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Emmy), and the first since his move to Loma Vista. This is Common's first powerful work in three years since Again, in which he injects his whole heart and soul into his music. The title stands for his latest book, "Let Love Have the Last Word," which was published in May this year and became a bestseller in the US. Of course, the work was inspired by the book. The album is produced by Kareem Riggins, who also participated in last year's much talked-about "August Green" project with Robert Glasper, and is a highly trusted producer, with Bernice Travis and Samora Pinderhughes also co-producing.
