Description:
A pop folk music sound that shows a glimpse beyond the historical techniques. A unique Italian painstaking old music repellent disc! Simone Vallerotonda, an Italian virtuoso who plays the baroque guitar and theorbo with outstanding skill, has collaborated with a group of well-known musicians on this new baroque string album. Vallerotonda has already recorded an album on the Arcana label titled "False Alphabets," which gives a firsthand impression of the variety and dynamism of Italian string art around 1600, when Monteverdi, Caccini, and others exploded onto the scene with the success of a new art form, opera. This is a further evolution of those performances. The "600" in the album title means "Seicento" in Italian, i.e., the 17th century. Rome was a Baroque city where the painter Caravaggio and the sculptor/architect Bernini were active, and at that time, many talented string players such as the theorbo player Capus Berger and the guitarist Foscarini gathered there, and they left many masterpieces.Studied under Andrea Damiani and Rolf Rislevan, who are both well-known masters in their own right, Valle Rotonda's lively sound not only conveys the freedom of Baroque music in a modern, pop-inspired, and unintelligent way, but also offers a stimulating sound with percussion and bagpipes that is both historical and regional in context. The sound of the band not only conveys how baroque music was free, but also presents a stimulating sound with percussion and bagpipes, while taking into account the historical and regional context. The sound of the album is also inspired by the historical and regional context, and is supported by guests such as Onofri and the popular singer Bharat. Naxos Japan
