Nippon Music Group celebrates its 55th anniversary in 2019. To celebrate, we are releasing a CD BOX. The Nippon Music Group has commissioned many composers and has had composers in its troupe to create new music. From more than 300 premieres of new works, the CD box features live recordings of masterpieces such as Katsutoshi Nagasawa's "Dashing" and Minoru Miki's "Kurudando," "One Day in Summer," which has not yet been released on CD, "Symphonic Tanpo" and "Japanese Rhapsody," a large ensemble performance unique to Nippon Music Group, with arrangements of works by Akira Ifukube, and a selection of contemporary works by Hachidai Nakamura, Takatomi Nobunaga, Atsuhiko Gondai, and others. The new recordings include "French Music Medley," "Japanese Folk Song Medley," and other familiar pieces arranged for Japanese instruments, as well as a new collaboration work by the group's composers, "Ki-Ki-Ki"!
