＜The first volume of "60s R&B Girls Heaven" compiles the enchanting R&B girl days of a teenage songstress full of freshness at the time! She debuted on Coral Records in 1965, a year before her breakthrough hit No. 1 on the U.S. dance/disco charts with "Do You Love Me" in 1981. Although she released singles one after another, they did not chart well, but her songs were always attractive. Unlike her image as an "adult," Patti Austin's music from the Coral era is more in the "northern soul" vein, including AOR, blacon, fusion, and jazz, and is highly regarded among fans of those genres. This album is also significant in that it is the first time (in Japan) that we have been able to hear a detailed account of Patti Austin from the Coral era, and if we also check out the authorship and original compositions of each song, we can also understand how the great Patti Austin was formed later.
