A rare first album that clearly captures the young Mittie Correia! Mitti Corea returned to the gospel music scene in her early thirties in 1972, after challenging the secular music world and leaving behind an outstanding collection of recordings (21 singles and 1 album) that struck a chord of emotion in the hearts of the listeners. The album is a collection of her recordings from 1961 to the end of 1964, which gives us a rough idea of her career since her debut. Among the highlights is "I Had A Talk With My Man Last Night," a secular version of a chant written by noted gospel singer/composer James Cleveland. Four Ray Charles-related covers are also excellent.
