The world of "Astor Piazzolla" is now a genre that has evolved through the fusion of various sounds from Argentine tango, classical, jazz, rock, and electronic music....... El Cielo 2020 is a quartet of violin, cello, double bass, and piano, formed in 2015 as a group of specialists in performing the music of composer Piazzolla. After a five-year "tour", the quartet will release its long-awaited first album in 2020, as the name suggests. The quartet's innovative style is in the orthodox vein of Piazzolla, but with a deconstruction and distribution of the bandoneon. The bandoneon definitely breathes in the unique melancholy, and although there are only four acoustics, the ensemble's thrilling sound is reminiscent of the coda of a symphony or the roar of post-rock, and it radiates an extremely intense and profound sound. This album is expected to spur the Argentinean side to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Piazzolla's birth in 2021. (C)RS
