Bach (1685-1750)
Description:
This is the first HQCD version on Waon Records, which is also popular for its high-quality recordings. Bach's Suites for Viola da gamba for solo viola da gamba, which may have been lost in the history of music. 13 of J.S. Bach's works for viola da gamba are still extant, but in fact, Bach wrote more works for gamba, but they may have been lost in the history of music. This piece is the result of Sadao Udagawa's idea that Bach may have written more works for the gamba, but that they have been lost in the annals of music history. The original of Suite No. 2 in E minor is Suite No. 2 for unaccompanied cello in D minor. It is performed in E minor by Udagawa's own arrangement. No. 5 is based on Bach's own arrangement of Suite No. 5 for lute (in G minor, BWV 995), which was further arranged by Mr. Udagawa for the gamba. This is a fascinating program that will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful sound of the gamba.I would like to reproduce in French Rococo style the score of the Suite for viola da gamba solo arranged by Bach and presented to King Friedrich Wilhelm II by Bach's son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, and offered by the king to Folkley to be performed, as a result of a tremendous fancy. I would like to recreate in a French rococo style a suite for unaccompanied viola da gamba that may have been lost in the annals of music history," said performer Udagawa. is what the performer, Mr. Udagawa, wrote in his liner notes. Sadao Udagawa, who studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels, Belgium, under Wieland Kuijken on viola da gamba, and has given a wide variety of performances in various places, has long been thinking about this album, which is the ultimate in musical pleasure. This is a paired-microphone stereo DSD recording using current-transmission microphones (Pure Records) that captures the full range of the music created by Mr. Udagawa's passionate spirit.
