This is a recording of Arthur Rubinstein's Rachmaninoff with Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1956, when the duo was famous throughout the United States. This is a recording of a full performance in which you can hear the tense exchanges between Rubinstein and Rainer, two masters of their craft.
