This is the fourth album by Samantha Fish, who has risen to become the number one young blues guitar woman in just five years since her debut. This time, she sings old school R&B numbers from the 60's with her polished and soulful vocals on this ambitious album! The album features an exquisite selection of covers from Motown to Southern Soul to New Orleans, including Alan Toussaint, Irma Thomas, Barbara Lewis, Bettye Lovett, Lulu, the Ronettes, and many more. Her funky garage soul, backed by the Detroit Cobras, with whom she has a rapport, is truly her newest talent! Samantha Fish was born in 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.A. She independently released "Live Bait" at the age of 18. She then signed with RUF Records in Germany and recorded with Danny Wild and Kathy Taylor in October and November 2010, releasing "Girls with Guitars" in early 2011. The album was released in early 2011, and the group toured Europe and the U.S. on the "Blues Caravan Tour 2011," making its name known to blues listeners around the world. In April of the same year, the long-awaited debut album "Runaway" was released with Mike Zito as producer.In 2013, the band released their second album, "Black Wind Howlin'", and toured throughout the U.S. and played many festivals. In 2015, he broke new ground with the release of his third album, "Wild Heart," featuring Luther Dickinson as producer. She is one of the most promising blues guitar women in the world today.
