Description:

The Ensemble Correspondances, led by the exquisite Charpentier Religious Works Collection Dosé. The Ensemble Correspondances, led by Doce, has become a leader in the French classical music world with its clear-concept programs each time. This time they featured Charpentier. Charpentier was one of the few composers to produce important works in the genre of religious music during the reign of Louis XIV. Charpentier wrote more than 30 religious works after his residence in Italy. It is said that Charpentier studied in Rome in the 1660s under the oratorio master Carissimi. The most direct result of his studies are the works included in this collection. They are filled with a beauty that combines French elegance and austerity. The bonus DVD includes a live performance from 2016 at the Palace of Versailles. King International
