Kashkashian's playing has a powerful vitality and boundless dynamic, and her wonderful bowing eloquently conveys the subtle nuances of the language and the boldness of the singing. Levin, known for her Mozart performances, is equally confident. Originally written in Spanish, these songs were colorful and voluminous, with a wide variety of word sounds, but Kashkashian and Levin's dialogue makes music that transcends language. Rivers, lullabies, moonlight, and hate, greetings, goodbyes, release these feelings into space. This is the latest album by Kashkashian and Levin, acclaimed by Globe magazine. Kashkashan wrote in the libretto, "Song is the most powerful of all therapies. Her father's folk songs gave her life as an artist.She has never forgotten her love for singing, even when she was working in the field of contemporary music, as she discovered "the fascination of replacing the melodic and emotional information of the voice with the strings. The songs on this album are her own arrangements of songs by Spanish and Argentine composers, and the way in which these originally passionate and nostalgic songs are transformed into something even more beautiful and smooth is nothing short of magnificent.
