Violinist Benjamin Beilman received the 2012 Avery Fisher Career Grant and the 2012 London Music Masters Award. 2010 Montreal International Music Competition, First Prize in Violin and People's Choice Award, He has received numerous awards, including the Bronze Medal at the 2010 Indianapolis International Violin Competition, the Best Bach Prize, and the Best Mozart Prize. These honors have led to recitals throughout Europe and North America, including first place in the 2010 YCA International Auditions, a highly acclaimed debut recital performance at the YCA series in New York and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the YCA Helen She was awarded the YCA Helen Armstrong Violin Fellowship. A passionate violinist, Beilman has performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and has appeared at the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont, the Seattle Chamber Music Festival, Music@Menlo in California, the Calamor Music Festival in New York, the Bridge He has also appeared at the Hampton Chamber Music Festival, the Angel Fire Music Festival in New Mexico, and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, and in 2010 his first CD of all Prokofiev's violin and piano sonatas was released on Analekta. As of 2016, he is a Dieter & Elizabeth Federsen Scholarship recipient, studying with Christian Tetzlaff at the Kronberg Academy in Germany; he graduated in 2012 from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied with Ida Kavafian (from YCA) and Pamela Frank. Prior to that, he studied at the Chicago Conservatory of Music with Almita & Roland Vamos. About this first album with Warner Classics, she said, "Schubert's natural lyricism contrasts with Janacek's manic moments. The dance rhythms and pulse of Stravinsky.It explores many of the colorful and expressive possibilities that evoke the work with the highest technical nuance," said Beilman himself. The piano is played by Sonu Yegon, winner of the 5th Sendai International Music Competition.
