Pietro Trulli (1650-1737), whose masterful vocal writing style was a source of much enjoyment at the court, served Elector Max Emanuel of Bavaria and his son Karl Albrecht for nearly half a century. Munich became a center of music that rivals Vienna. One of his most unique works is "Trastulli," which means "playful" or "playful. This work was rediscovered in the 20th century and finally identified as being by Torri in 1978. It consists of 60 arias with small but often technical instrumentation, and was supposedly written for a private evening's entertainment within the court. Max Emanuel is said to have been a good singer and a skilled player of organ, harpsichord, flute, and viola da gamba, so it is not difficult to imagine him playing this music willingly. This album is a pastiche of excerpts from "Trastulli" combined with technical opera arias.Performed by Musica Fiorita, led by Daniela Dolci, who is dedicated to introducing unknown Baroque works, the performance vividly presents the true value of opera composer Torri.
