Description:
Telemann (1681-1767), a young musician in his twenties who was appointed chief of music at the Polish court, wrote in his autobiography that while he studied the French style favored by his lord, Count Plomnitz, he was also strongly attracted to the folk music of the region. At the same time, he also paid attention to the sounds of various instruments, and left several works for special instruments that existed at that time. This album contains mainly works for the chalumeau, the prototype of the clarinet, and the sartelio, a stringed instrument with a long history, allowing the listener to enjoy unusual sounds that are rarely heard. Of course, the recording was made with the utmost care, from the adjustment of the instruments to the acoustic balance, and the exotic and delicate sounds are recorded to the fullest.
