Nyege Nyege's latest release is a collaboration between Ocen James, a master of the Acholi fiddle, and Rian Treanor, a UK underground club musician who has been hooked up with Aphex Twin. The result is a masterpiece of soundscapes that move between the dimensions of free jazz, UK rave, noise, and computer music, while being rooted in the traditional culture of Uganda! Rian Treanor produced his last album "File Under UK Metaplasm" at Nyege Nyege's studio in Kampala, Uganda, where he spent time with Ocen James and developed an affinity with him. Rian used the latest technology to model the sound of the adungu, a traditional stringed instrument, and created a virtual instrument based on clever digital processing and unique tuning, allowing it to "jam" with Ocen's rigi rigi (single stringed violin).The songs thus produced succeed in combining the energetic and wild improvisation with the techno nature of a disciplined computer matrix. The album features nine original compositions, including the messy polyrhythms of "Bunga Bule," the sunset soundscape of "Casascade," the rainbow-colored folk-techno of "The Dead Centre," and the new party music of "Rigi Rigi," as well as a remix by Farmers Manual. The album includes a total of 10 tracks, including nine original tracks such as the soundscape "Casascade", the rainbow-colored folk-techno "The Dead Centre", and the new party music "Rigi Rigi", and remixes by Farmers Manual. This is a new landing place for cross-cultural collaborations and a new utopia. Please get it in physical!
