Chicago girl group, The Lovelites, follow up their acclaimed only album with a collection of singles and previously unreleased material! The Lovelites, a Chicago girl trio led by Patti Hamilton, released their only album in 1970, which is now quite rare. This compilation is a compilation of singles released between 1970 and 1975 on the Love Lights label, which was started by the famous Chicago producer Clarence Johnston for the girls, as well as previously unreleased works. The songs range from lighthearted numbers that are unmistakably Chicago, to quiet ballads, to dance numbers with a modern feel, all delivered with a powerful voice that could be described as a female version of the Impressions. Three previously unreleased covers, "Betcha By Golly Wow" by the Stylistics, "Got To Be There" by Michael Jackson, and "Dumped" by the Lichas Brothers, are also excellent.
