Among them, this album, recorded in Oklahoma, is a true heavyweight that was literally unearthed during the deep funk boom! Side A features the album’s highlight: “TwentyFourHoursaDay,” a bouncy, melancholic funk dance track—also included on a certain mix CD—where Barbara Burton sings with unrestrained freedom “TwentyFourHoursaDay,” which was also included on a certain mix CD! Recorded in 1970, its gritty sound quality, combined with a racing saxophone solo and a raw organ, creates three minutes that fly by with miraculous intensity. Furthermore, Side B features the high-energy instrumental funk track “Rejoice,” which closes out the album, making its debut as a single! Exactly 50 years since the album’s release. A special 7-inch single, perfect for commemorating the anniversary, is now available!
