The long-awaited LP reissue of the only album by 100% PURE POISON, a legendary 9-piece big band with a soulful, funky groove, and the ultimate jazzy funk "Windy C", one of the rarest grooves in the world! 100% PURE POISON was a legendary group of nine artists led by guitarist Danny Leek, who was active in the Chicago soul scene in the 1960s and 1970s, and released only one album. At You" was released only in the UK in 1974, but it was recognized worldwide during the rare groove movement of the 1980s and continues to be appreciated by collectors around the world. The song "You Keep Coming Back," which opens the album, is a soulful song with fresh vocals that seem to stretch out forever, and the horns that back it up are wonderful, and above all, the handclaps at the end of the song make everyone happy, and it is a true party opener. It is a song that signals the start of a party.The funky guitar riff in the following song, "No More City, No More Country," invites dancing, and the flow from the female chorus to the trumpet solo in the middle of the song is irresistible. Windy C," the first track on the B-side of the record, is the highlight of the album, with a dramatic buildup from the vocals that sound like a verbal duel to Danny Leek's strong guitar and Steve Maxwell's pleasant organ, and it is a song that is sure to reach a wide audience, including rock fans outside of soul and funk.
