RC Succession’s legendary 1988 cover album is now available as a super high-end analog record in the “100% Pure LP” series! Due to its radical content—which sharply criticized social and political issues, particularly anti-war and anti-nuclear themes—Toshiba EMI refused to release it at the time. Released in a rush by their former label, Kitty, this controversial yet seminal work truly embodies the essence of rock. ● “100% Pure LP” is a special “Made in Japan” product introduced in 2012 that garnered significant attention worldwide as a pioneer in modern high-fidelity records. One of its key features is the use of “uncolored virgin vinyl,” which eliminates all coloring agents—such as carbon—commonly used in analog records that can affect sound quality. By using only pure, unadulterated polyvinyl chloride as the raw material, it ensures significantly higher molding stability. ● Another key feature is the use of “metal master pressing.” By omitting the metal master and stamper—typically used in the process leading up to the pressing of standard analog records—and pressing directly from the metal master, this method enables the creation of grooves with overwhelmingly high fidelity. However, due to its lower durability, the number of pressings is strictly limited. ●Furthermore, this release uses a 45 RPM speed—typically used for 12-inch singles—rather than the standard 33 RPM for LPs. While this results in a two-disc set due to the shorter recording time per side, it allows for wider and longer grooves. The higher rotation speed also improves stability, creating significant advantages in terms of detail reproduction and richness of volume. ●The source material consists of the latest 96 kHz/24-bit WAV files, newly transferred from the original analog master tapes. The mastering was performed as flat as possible to preserve the freshness and dynamic range of the sound. We have pursued a natural sound that remains faithful to the original recording. *** Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) ***
