Description:
The complete Beethoven: Piano Sonatas, which was very popular when it was first released digitally, is now available in its entirety! Boris Giltburg is now one of the world's leading pianists. His compelling interpretations filled with keen sensitivity and insight, and his passionate approach have been acclaimed by critics. The project of recording the complete piano sonatas to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's death was a personal adventure born out of respect for the composer, as Giltburg himself wrote in the original recording commentary (in English). Giltburg expresses the full range of human emotion, from the vivid release of energy in the early sonatas, to the passion and lyricism of the middle period works, to the awe of the transcendent in the sonatas of his later years. A wonderful cycle is now complete. Boris Giltburg, piano, was born in Moscow in 1984. He spent his childhood in Tel Aviv, Israel. He was taught to play the piano by his mother and began studying with Arieh Vardi at the age of five. 2013, he won the first prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Brussels, opening his career as a pianist.
