Description:

Unreleased rarities & live performances of M. Polnareff, the French Pop nobleman! The performance in Roseanne 1967, another beautiful version of "Love's Wish", and more. Michel Polnareff, the French Pop nobleman, was extremely popular not only in his native France but also in Japan in the 70's. His radio play count rivals that of the Beatles and the Carpenters. Beautiful, fragile melodies. Blonde curls and white sunglasses. The hip posters were controversial. Rock meets romance. The band's catchphrase was true, and their four concerts in Japan were a great success. However, a tax evasion case (which was later proven innocent) forced him to part ways with France, and he moved to the U.S. to live in seclusion, but in 2007 he resumed touring for the first time in 34 years. In 2007, he resumed touring for the first time in 34 years and successfully held a concert for 600,000 people at the Eiffel Tower Plaza. A tumultuous artist, M. Polnareff is also 78 years old. However, his popularity has not waned in recent years, as rumors of his live shows continue to circulate. He has some enthusiastic fans in Japan, and his beautiful melodies are immortal.Included here is a live concert from 1967 (36 minutes) at the Palais de Beaulieu, a venerable hall in Lausanne, Switzerland, as well as rare tracks of popular songs such as the famous "Love's Wish" and "Non Non Dolls". Polnareff, who made his debut after studying classical music and leading a vagabond life, composed mainly on the piano, and learned to play the guitar as well when he became interested in rock music. Even on this 1967 stage, in addition to the quiet parts such as "Love's Wish," with its beautiful piano music, Polnareff also absorbed rock sounds with distorted electric guitar, drums, bass, and organ. Rare tracks include an interesting early studio version of "Love's Wish. The arrangement is different from the published version, with no strings, and the organ intersperses different phrases. The singing voice is already perfect with that genius falsetto. Also, the debut hit "Non Non Puppet", known for the participation of Led Zeppelin's J. Page (gtr) in the recording, can be heard here in the version Polnareff sings in Italian. 8 pages of Japanese liner notes detailing the situation at the time, episodes, song titles, etc.Product licensed by JASRAC (Japan Copyright Association) *Licensed photo jacket by Getty Images Japan
