Les Z'amazones d'Afrique - La Grande Écurie

Description:

The Parisian sound of the post-Vivaldi generation, woven by French virtuosos] In the first half of the 18th century, Nodo, who was strongly inspired by the sonatas and concertos of Corelli, Vivaldi, and others in Italy, published numerous works for the Parisian public, largely in keeping with French tastes at the time. Nord's concerto masterpieces are performed in their entirety on a variety of instruments according to the score's cover designations. Nodo was a French composer of the same generation as Tartini and Boismortier, a little younger than Bach and Rameau, and did not hold a post in the royal family or other public institutions during his lifetime, but his popularity as a music teacher is evident from the few printed scores that are known to exist. The title page of the Op. 17 concertos suggests the names of various instruments for solo parts in order to increase the sales of the sheet music, but the hieralou (hurdy-gurdy) and musette (bellows bagpipe) are written in large letters before the flute and recorder. In France in the 1740s, these instruments were loved by urbanites with a taste for rococo music as they evoked the quiet countryside. He was a master of the instrument, and his works were based on the mechanisms of these instruments. Alexis Kosenko, who has been gaining more and more attention in recent years for his skillful performances of a wide variety of flute works from the Baroque to the modern era on instruments appropriate to the times, was the core of this year's lineup, which also included Toby Miller, the master of the viola, and Jean-Pierre Van Ace, a renowned 18th century bagpipe scholar, as well as a number of other reliable performers. The ensemble will perform with 18th-century style chamber music, and the audience will be able to enjoy the charm of these works filled with rococo sentiment. Naxos Japan
