Duo Rubicon" is a duo based in Munich since 2016. The duo, who met and hit it off in a children's playground, have been highly acclaimed for their intimate performances. The album entitled "From Shadows to Light" features rarely performed works. The first movement of Borodin's Cello Sonata uses the fugue motif from J.S. Bach's Sonata for Solo Violin BWV 1001, the "Five Pieces" by Georgian composer Zintzase, which incorporates many elements of Caucasian folk music that was popular in Russia in the 19th century, and the "Piano Sonata" by the German The Romantic Sonatas by Camilo Schumann, a composer of the late Romantic period.
