Vivace" is a film documentary that follows the life path and present of Anne-Sophie Mutter, who will celebrate her 60th birthday on June 29, 2023. The film is based on three years of archival footage researched and uncovered by journalist Sigrid Faltin, a native of Dessau in former East Germany, as well as newly recorded conversations with artistic allies from around the world, private footage of pets, food and clothing preferences, and other personal information. --The film is a montage of these images that vividly reveals the personality of Mutter, a violinist of unparalleled genius.The archival footage, including performance scenes interspersed throughout the film, includes numerous stage performances from Mutter's childhood, as well as a recent performance in April 2009 at the NATO summit meeting in Baden-Baden's Kurhaus in the presence of then US President Barack Obama (accompanied by Lambert Orkis on piano), a scene from a chamber concert at Suntory Hall in February 2020, and a performance of Jörg Wittmann's string quartet "Study on Strings" at the Suntory Hall. The film includes a scene from the concert (piano accompaniment by Lambert Orkis) and a rehearsal of the string quartet "Study on Beethoven" by Jörg Wittmann at a chamber music concert at Suntory Hall in February 2020, as well as other rare cuts. In addition, a trilogy of interviews with tennis superstar Roger Federer, who visited Mutter and his son Richard at their home in Zurich (included in this film and three bonus videos), shows the true face of Mutter, who is as smiling as a little girl fan who is delighted to meet her idol.
