The A-side of this 7inch, his first release in two years, is a rock steady cover of Yoshio Hayakawa's "Salvia no Hana" (Flower of Salvia), which was included on his solo album "How Uncool It Is" released by URC (label) in November 1969 and is said to have influenced him both in Japan and abroad In recent years, the song has been used frequently in the memorable scene in the movie "Ano Koro" written by Tsurugi Jito. The B-side is "Fireplace," an original song with an atmosphere somewhat reminiscent of the Fishmans. The song is reminiscent of a night alone, with sad and lyrical Japanese lyrics layered over the impressive electric drums of a Roland "TR-909" drum machine from the 80's. The song is performed by Koji Oishi on drums. It is performed by the Mayonaka band, featuring Koji Oishi (Little Tempo) on drums, Takashi Nozuki (Amefurashi Quartet, The Skamotts) on bass, Takao Suzuki (FRISCO) on guitar, and qimygo on keyboards and vocals.Naoyuki Uchida is the recording engineer and e-mura (Bim One Production) is the mixing and mastering engineer. The single cut from the full album to be released in August will be a limited quantity 7inch release.
