This is a special release from the well-known Taiwanese reissue label "ONCE MORE MUSIC", with the familiar paper jacket and obi commentary by All Days Records! This is the only work by the husband and wife duo whose title song became a hit in the U.S. in the summer of 1968! This is the only album by the American husband-and-wife duo, Friends and Lovers, consisting of Jim Post and Kathy Post, which reflects the pop and peaceful mood of the times. The title track "REACH OUT OF THE DARKNESS" was a top 10 hit in the U.S. in June 1968, and was greatly supported by the anti-establishment youth of the "summer of love" at the time. It was later revived as a hip-hop sampling source. All the songs on the album were written by Jim Post, who released many solo albums after the 1970s, and the album is full of catchy pop melodies that can be called his starting point.Bonus tracks include a mono version of the title track released as a single and a song not included on the album. Includes obi commentary.
